ried Robie Hopkins in Foster. R.I.. March 26. 1775: she was
born in Richmond, Exeter Co., R. I.. July 1 2. 1756; she died
and buried in Foster. R. I. He married, second.
Sarah P. Bliven: she was born in Richmond. R. I.. March
18, 1786. and died in Norwich, Conn., July 28. 1878; she was
the sister of Thankful, second wife of John Rathbone. Nathan
removed to Flopkinton about 1760. He was drafted
to serve in the army of the Revolution and served as a coast
defender. His widow drew a pension of $96 a year: she lived
with her daughter-in-law seventeen years. Sarah and Thank-
ful were daughters of Samuel and Polly (Worden) Biiven.
He was buried on one of his farms, among his kindred. He
was a justice of the peace for many years: he was a successful
man and a prominent physician. Children:
