(Potter) Barber. Nov. 13. 1757. Susan was the mother or<br />

a son Leonard E.. born Nov. 30. 1787. who married Pheobe<br />

B. daughter of Rowland <strong>Rathbone</strong>, Sept. io. ? They<br />

had a son Rowland <strong>Rathbone</strong> Barber. Sept. 2$, 1817.<br />

Joseph Barber in his will, bearing- date April 14, 1779, bequeaths<br />

are made to his son Nathaniel Barber; my grandson<br />

Joseph <strong>Rathbone</strong>; my granddaughter Abigail YVilbour;<br />

my granddaughter Rebecca Wilcox: my grandson. Lillibridge<br />

Barber. Joseph was to have his legacy on attaining<br />

the age of twenty-one years. He signed a receipt at twenty-one,<br />

Jan. 28, 1784. Lillibridge Barber was the executor.<br />

cousin of Commodore Perry of Lake Erie fame. Jonathan<br />

was a revolutionary soldier and was in the battle of Bunker<br />

Hill. During the battle his wife Elizabeth, thinking .-he<br />

would like to locate the battle as she heard the roar of the<br />

cannons, thought she would go and climb a haystack, thinking<br />
