1774; married FYeelove Xorthrup. They settled in Otsego
county, X T
. Y.. about [801, having made the journey from
Rhode Island in a wagon, which also contained their household
goods. There were at that time no bridges over the
streams, and the latter part of the journey was made through
an unbroken wilderness. Mr. Rathbone built a log house on
the south side of the Susquehanna river, in which he lived
until his death, which occurred about 1K20: both he and his
wife are buried in Otsego countv. Children:
