2 Dynamic Volume<br />

Solves the problem of large variations <strong>in</strong> volume level between TV,<br />

movies and other content (between quiet passages and loud passages,<br />

etc.) by automatically adjust<strong>in</strong>g to the user’s preferred volume sett<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

Heavy : Most adjustment to softest and loudest sounds.<br />

Medium : Medium adjustment to loudest and softest sound.<br />

Light : Least adjustment to loudest and softest sounds.<br />

Off (Default) : Do not use “Dynamic Volume”.<br />

• If “Dynamic Volume” is set to “Yes” <strong>in</strong> “Audyssey® Setup” (vpage 183),<br />

the sett<strong>in</strong>g is automatically changed to “Medium”.<br />

• This can be set by press<strong>in</strong>g DYNAMIC VOLUME on the ma<strong>in</strong> unit.<br />

2 Audyssey LFC<br />

Adjusts the low frequency band to prevent bass and vibration from<br />

be<strong>in</strong>g conveyed to neighbor<strong>in</strong>g rooms.<br />

On : Use “Audyssey LFC”.<br />

Off (Default) : Do not use “Audyssey LFC”.<br />

About Audyssey LFC (Low Frequency Conta<strong>in</strong>ment)<br />

Audyssey LFC solves the problem of low frequency sounds<br />

disturb<strong>in</strong>g people <strong>in</strong> neighbor<strong>in</strong>g rooms or apartments. Audyssey<br />

LFC dynamically monitors the audio content and removes the<br />

low frequencies that pass through walls, floors and ceil<strong>in</strong>gs. It then<br />

applies psychoacoustic process<strong>in</strong>g to restore the perception of low<br />

bass for listeners <strong>in</strong> the room. The result is great sound that no longer<br />

disturbs the neighbors.<br />

2 Conta<strong>in</strong>ment Amount<br />

Adjusts the amount of low frequency conta<strong>in</strong>ment. Use higher sett<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

if you have close neighbors.<br />
