An error message is displayed if Audyssey® Setup could not be completed due to speaker placement, the measurement environment, etc. If an error<br />

message is displayed, check the relevant items and perform the necessary measures. Be sure to turn off the power before check<strong>in</strong>g speaker connections.<br />

Examples Error details Measures<br />

Microphone or Speaker is<br />

None<br />

Ambient noise is too high or<br />

level is too low<br />

• Setup and measurement microphone is not<br />

detected.<br />

• Not all speakers could be detected.<br />

• There is too much noise <strong>in</strong> the room.<br />

• Speaker or subwoofer sound is too low.<br />

Front R : None • The displayed speaker could not be<br />

detected.<br />

Front R : Phase • The displayed speaker is connected with<br />

the polarity reversed.<br />

• Connect the <strong>in</strong>cluded Setup and measurement microphone to the<br />

SETUP MIC jack of this unit.<br />

• Check the speaker connections.<br />

• Either turn off any device generat<strong>in</strong>g noise or move it away.<br />

• Perform aga<strong>in</strong> when the surround<strong>in</strong>gs are quieter.<br />

• Check the speaker <strong>in</strong>stallation and the direction <strong>in</strong> which the<br />

speakers are fac<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

• Adjust the subwoofer’s volume.<br />

• Check the connections of the displayed speaker.<br />

• Check the polarity of the displayed speaker.<br />

• For some speakers, this error message may be displayed even if<br />

the speaker is properly connected. If you are sure the connection is<br />

correct, use p to select “Skip Error”, then press ENTER.
