Supply 3.1.3b CHP Capacity by Company Type table 3.1.3b CHP Capacity by Company Type (MW) Cogeneration plays an important role in those industry sectors which require a significant amount of steam or process heat. Indeed, a number of factories are equipped with their own cogeneration units in order to obtain an integrated production of electricity and heat. AUSTRIA (at) The tables below break down the CHP capacity given in the previous table by company type, thus distinguishing between generating companies and autoproducers.
