But the wicked people of Ta'if were<br />

not to leave him at peace. As Nabi<br />

Muhammad [s] walk by, some hooligans<br />

pelted him with stones, while<br />

others set their dogs at him. And so<br />

the wicked people of Ta'if forced<br />

Prophet Muhammad [s] to leave<br />

their town, hurting and bruised.<br />

Nabi Muhammad [s] sat under the<br />

shade of a tree in an orchard, some<br />

distance from the town. There were<br />

no feelings of bitterness or anger in<br />

his heart; only a feeling of helplessness.<br />

“O Allah!” he prayed. “You are<br />

the most Merciful, so forgive me for<br />

my weakness. Grant me the<br />

strength to do my duty, for there is<br />

no strength nor power but from<br />

You.”<br />
