Contractor<br />
Contractors are companies working onsite or offsite on<br />
behalf of the reporting organization with a relationship<br />
to the reporting organization determined by a contract.<br />
A contractor may hire their own staff directly and/or hire<br />
sub-contractors or independent contractors.<br />
Sub-contractor<br />
Sub-contractors are companies working onsite or offsite<br />
on behalf of the reporting organization and will have<br />
a direct contractual relationship with a contractor /<br />
sub-contractor but not necessarily with the reporting<br />
organization.<br />
EU<br />
A sub-contractor may hire their own staff directly or hire<br />
independent contractors.<br />
Independent contractor<br />
An independent contractor is an individual working<br />
for the reporting organization, a contractor, or a<br />
subcontractor who has a contract but is not a formal<br />
employee.<br />
