almighty power of God. Will any one name these in
the same breath with the "Katie Kings," the aged
aunts, and the absolute frauds of the modern
stance * ?
I cannot for one moment say that in the providence
of God, when in those days His voice spoke through
His prophets in a very special way, that on this
solemn and unique occasion Samuel did not appear
by the power and at the command of God. But it
is perfectly clear that the woman did not expect
him; nor was it by any power of hers that he came,
