DEPARTMENTAL CLUB<br />
Mr. 0. T. Lay, Chicago, has been reelected secretary-tremurer <strong>of</strong> the<br />
u. S. D. A. Club.<br />
DEATHS<br />
Mr. Eugene E. Brady, who wm retired in August, 1980, after a period<br />
<strong>of</strong> about 18 years <strong>of</strong> service in the <strong>Weather</strong> <strong>Bureau</strong>, died at his home in<br />
Ncw Orleans on December 10, 1932. A notice <strong>of</strong> retirement <strong>and</strong> outline<br />
<strong>of</strong> service will be found in ‘I’OPICS AND PIERNNNIEL for August, 1950.<br />
Mr. lIerbcrt W. McMunus, printer at the Portltmd, Oreg., station,<br />
died 1)ecrmbcr 26, 1932. He was born at Fort Pierre, S. Dak., Ootoher<br />
16, 1881. Mr. McManus entered the <strong>Weather</strong> <strong>Bureau</strong> service on<br />
April 23, 1914, <strong>and</strong> served continuously at the Portl<strong>and</strong> station.<br />
Mr. J. Pemberton Slaughtcr, in charge <strong>of</strong> the Oklahoma City, Okla.,<br />
station, died on December 22, 1932. He WRS born in King Williarri<br />
County, Va., October E), 1868. He entered the Signal Corps at Washington,<br />
