will, in general, be favorably rccoivcd by the ships’ <strong>of</strong>ficcrs concerned.<br />
REPORTS OF AIRCRAFT ACCIDENTS<br />
The items under the above title in tho May, 1928, <strong>and</strong> January <strong>and</strong><br />
March, 1929, numbers <strong>of</strong> Toms AND PEI~~ONNEL are hereby aniended to<br />
provide for the following:<br />
1. Reports for accidents which occur as follow8 will be ~nad~ both<br />
the <strong>of</strong>ficial in charge <strong>of</strong> the Htation at tho point <strong>of</strong> departure <strong>of</strong> the pllLnc<br />
<strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> thc station at the point nearcst the accident:<br />
(a) Whrn accidents occur on tho civil airwaya.<br />
(6) U‘hrn accidrrits occur <strong>of</strong>f thc civil airways <strong>and</strong> dcparturr<br />
from a point on tho civil airways.<br />
2. The reports made by the <strong>of</strong>iicial at tho point <strong>of</strong> departure will cond<br />
hin the following information:<br />
(a) A full account <strong>of</strong> thc wcathclr Hervice furnished before departure.<br />
(b) The wcathcr conditions at thc point <strong>of</strong> departure.<br />
(c) If practicable, dcvelopnicnts in conditions during tho pcriod <strong>of</strong><br />
the flight.<br />
3. The report8 made by the <strong>of</strong>licinl at thr point near(iHt the sc(’110 <strong>of</strong><br />
the accident will contain the following inforniation :<br />
(a) An account, intcrpolatrd if necessary, <strong>of</strong> conditions in the vicinity<br />
<strong>of</strong> tho accident at tho tirno <strong>of</strong> ocvurwncc.<br />
(b) An account <strong>of</strong> conditiona that are ltnown to hnve occurred during<br />
the period <strong>of</strong> flight.<br />
(c) Any cornnients by the pilot, pawngers, or othcrs regarding the<br />
weather eonditionH &H reported prior to the flight, as forccaHtfor tho flight,<br />
<strong>and</strong> as experienced in, the fight.<br />

which both departure <strong>and</strong> nccitlcnt occur <strong>of</strong>f tlie civil airwaycl, will be<br />
