In 1838 <strong>Cymbeline</strong> was given one performance - at Covent<br />

Garden on September 26. Samuel Phelps played Posthumus,<br />

Vandenh<strong>of</strong>f, lachimo. In Coleman's Memoirs <strong>of</strong> Samuel Phelps<br />

Phelps is reported as saying <strong>of</strong> his engagement with<br />
