whitish downwards. Antenna rather glossy, dark fuscous (incomplete).<br />

Labial palpus robust, median segment compressed laterally;<br />

shinmg pale greyish ochreous, terminal segment dark browTi along<br />

anterior edge. Thorax blackish fuscous, tegula white. Abdomen<br />

pale grey ^^dth a silvery gloss, anal tuft light bronze brown.<br />

Forewing sublanceolate, moderately broad, pointed, termen slightly<br />

convex and very oblique. Veins 7 and 8 stalked, 7 to costa just above<br />

apex. Black, partially tiu-ning dark grey. Dorsum with a rather<br />

broad, very pale ferruginous-white streak from base to tornus, slightly<br />

attenuated towards extremities and with a small white tooth on upper<br />

edge along fold; a rather broad and straight, oblique white transverse<br />

fascia with parallel and well-defined edges, anterior just postmedian;<br />

lower third of this fascia extended as a horizontal band posteriorly;<br />

about apical sixth of wing white, containing a suffused grey-black<br />

rounded blotch, filling out apex and connected with ground color in<br />

disc below middle of wing.<br />

Cilia (imperfect) dark grey, sordid fuscous<br />

in tornus, black m and around apex.<br />

Hindwing with vein 3 and 4 stalked, 5 rather closely approximated;<br />

closmg vein ill defined; 1, trapezoidal, apex slightly produced and<br />

pointed; light greyish fuscous, cilia concolorous.<br />

Male genitalia : Tegiunen constricted below base of gnathos. Uncus<br />

spatulate, not bristled, gnathos long and slender, darkly sclerotized.<br />

Sacculus lobes with a constricted base and a sharp point. Anellus<br />

lobes, complicated, sclerotized and triangidar hairy plates. Aedeagus<br />

short and rather broad.<br />

Material examined: Luzon, Los Banos (Baker), 1 cf, holotype,<br />

genit. slide 5139 (USNM). A small, distinctly colored species.<br />
