of costa, first of these small, second continued as a strong, inwardsoblique,<br />

slightly curved transverse fascia to 3/4 of dorsum, broadly<br />

interrupted below middle, so as to form a semioval isolated spot on<br />

dorsum; thu'd costal spot apical; some blackish suffusion before termen;<br />

a black narrow line along lower fourth of termen and in tornus;<br />

some faint ferruginous suffusion along base of dorsum; a couple of<br />

black dots on middle of dorsum. Cilia whitish green, in apex white.<br />

Hindwing dark grey, cilia pale fuscous greyish, glossy.<br />

Female, 20 mm. Marldngs similar to those in the male, but instead<br />

of a costal fold there is a small spot on costa beyond base and a<br />

larger outwards-oblique spot on 1/4. Palpus light green, median<br />

segment with a transverse sparse brownish dusting.<br />

Male genitalia: Uncus broadly truncate, with membranous lateral<br />

flaps. Socius, a large, inwards-curved arm. Gnathos, a sclerotized,<br />

erected-trapezoidal plate, constricted below top, lower edge with a<br />

split in the middle and small emarginations at the sides. Valva<br />

strongly narrowed in middle, cucuUus sinuate, slender; saccidus with<br />

a small median prominent process.<br />

Female genitalia: Genital ven trite sclerotized. Sterigma formed by<br />

a median suboval aciculate mold, surrounded by a furrow, being the<br />

ostium bursae. Colliculum, an irregular sclerite with longitudinal<br />

folds, occupying almost the entire ductus bursae, which is short.<br />

Signa rather small unequal straight thorns with moderate basal<br />

plates.<br />

Material examined: Luzon, Benguet Subprov., Haights Place,<br />

Pauai, 3.XII.1912, 1 d", holotype, genit. slide 5531; 3 d", paratypes,<br />

15, 16 and 17.XI.1912; 1 9, allotype, 14.XI.1912, genit. slide 5527; 2<br />

9, paratypes, 7.XI and 1.XII.1912 (the last, without abdomen).<br />

4 cf, 3 9 (BM). Allied with P. hierograpta (Meyrick) from New<br />

Guinea.<br />

Male, 13 mm. Head greenish white, forehead with a suffused<br />

dark grey transverse band, sides of crown mixed with black. Antenna<br />

dark fuscous grey, scape greenish white mixed with black.<br />

Palpus rather short and slender, white touched ^vith greenish, slightly<br />

mixed with black. Thorax whitish. Abdomen glossy whitish<br />

ohve, anal tuft light<br />

ohve.<br />

ForeAving elongate, rather narrow, costal fold moderately broad,<br />

but strongly blown up and bladder-hke, reaching well beyond middle<br />

of costa; apex pointed and produced, termen sinuate. Pale green,<br />

markings dark fuscous. Costal fold dark fuscous, strewn with paler<br />

fuscous; this fold edged below with a moderate stripe, ending in a<br />
