1/6 of costa to middle of dorsum; towards dorsmn this patch suffused<br />

mth brown; transverse fascia oblique, from before middle of costa<br />

to 3/4 of dorsmn, upper half slightly narrowed towards upper edge<br />

of cell, thence dilated, with posterior edge rounded and prominent;<br />

this fascia sharpl}^ edged with dark brown and more or less filled<br />

out with grey, anterior half of dilated portion also mixed with dark<br />

brown; costal patch narrow, almost fasciate, anterior edge well defined,<br />

continued as a regidarly curved line across wing and along lower<br />

third of tornus; posterior edge of costal patch indefinite, not reaching<br />

apex; a narrow dark brown line along apex and termen, a pair of<br />

similar shorter transverse lines before apex. Cilia glossy pale<br />

ochreous tawny.<br />

Hindwing pale ochreous orange, becoming deeper colored towards<br />

apex, pale towards dorsum, apex shghtly suffused and strigulated<br />

with brown. Cilia whitish ochreous with a brighter ochreous base,<br />

around apex cilia mixed with lilac.<br />

Female genitalia similar to those of Homona wetan, but sterigma<br />

more erected dorsoventrally (in mount! In H. wetan somewiiat<br />

compressed in that direction). Collicidiun is an irregular sclerite,<br />

as in wetan, but longer, ciu"ved to the left. The sternite possesses<br />

an oval thickening on each side of sterigma, with a refracting edge and<br />

a strongly granidate siu-face. Ductus biu-sae is very long, but<br />

cestiun is moderate, extending along the lower third only, with a single<br />

loop.<br />
