We attended the Glendale Design Review Board #2 meeting that was held on 3/7/2013
and expressed our disagreement with the project hoping that our opinion will be
considered. However, the project was approved with minor conditions that do not
alleviate any of our concerns nor do the minor changes have to be re-presented for
approval.
The concerns with the meeting we had are as follows:

Only 3 out of the 5 members voted for the project. The Chairwoman Ms. Sakai.
abstained and one ofthe members, Mr. Malekian left before the voting.

Ms. Sakai, a senior member on the board, realized the serious nature of the
situation and abstained.
The two board members that approved the plan and a staff member seemed eager
to get the plan approved no matter what and didn't seem to take our concerns into
consideration.
There were incorrect statements made regarding the project impact on our
neighborhood and adjacent neighboring properties.

Mass and scale on project plan and in Design Review Board's Record of Decision
is stated incorrectly;
Statement regarding compatibility of projected construction with the area and
surrounding buildings is controversial;

Our house location and proximity was not shown on the project plan.
o
Our photographs mailed and emailed to DRB few weeks prior to the meeting
were not presented until we had to demonstrate them again during the time given
to us to talk.

Proposed project did not address the recommendation put forth in the 2009 case
made by City Council in the previous appeal of the case.
