Mission Need: Reliable critical navigational safety information to identify, assess, and mitigate navigational
risks in the Arctic region.
Project Objectives:
Partner with Marine Exchange Alaska (MXAK) to:
• Define the prototype system that will be developed under this
public/private partnership.
• Develop the Arctic Navigation Safety Information System (ANSIS)
prototype system for the technology demonstration.
• Install, test, and utilize ANSIS technology demonstration system.
• Monitor ANSIS technology demonstration system performance and
mariner utilization.
