Joint Marine Test Detachment In-Situ Burn Capabilities<br />

Mission Need: Marine in-situ burn testing capability.<br />

<strong>Project</strong> Objectives:<br />

• Evaluate and update In-Situ Burn (ISB) capabilities to support Research,<br />

Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E).<br />

• Identify programs and stakeholders and inform them of available<br />

capabilities.<br />

• Improve wave generator in accordance with American Society of Testing<br />

Materials (ASTM) approved standards for fire retardant boom testing, and<br />

conduct new work given new capabilities.<br />
