USACE AIS Transmit<br />

Mission Need: Development and use of e-Navigation (eNav) on Western Rivers.<br />

<strong>Project</strong> Objectives:<br />

• Determine and implement the most effective method to transmit Automatic<br />

Identification System (AIS) messages to mariners using existing CG and<br />

USACE systems and infrastructure.<br />

• Develop capabilities that can be incorporated into or used with the USACE<br />

Lock Operations Management Application (LOMA) system to transmit<br />

various navigation data via the AIS system.<br />

• Transmit eNav information using USACE AIS Aids to Navigation (AtoN)<br />

on the Western Rivers.<br />
