Both Organisations agree to pursue co-operation under the terms in this Agreement. It
is based on the principles of equality and reciprocal benefit. This General Agreement
sets out broad co-operative arrangements and specific areas of academic co-operation.
1. CONTENT OF THE AGREEMENT
1.1 This Agreement sets out the relationship between the Collaborating Body and
IBEC, by which IBEC and COLLABORATING BODY will validate programmes
delivered by IBEC, as provided for in course documentation approved by the
Academic Council of COLLABORATING BODY.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES
COLLABORATING BODY and IBEC shall be jointly responsible for the
maintenance of academic standards, in accordance with policy laid down by the
Academic Council of COLLABORATING BODY.
Where appropriate, COLLABORATING BODY shall approve and appoint
External Examiner(s) to the programmes/courses provided for under this
Agreement following nomination through the relevant Faculty in accordance with
policy laid down by the Academic Council.
