Registration Fees<br />
All students are expected to comply with the schedule<br />
of registration as published in the <strong>college</strong> calendar. A $20<br />
non-refundable registration fee is charged to all students for each<br />
registration term. Post registration generally will be permitted<br />
up through the census date for those who failed to do so during<br />
the regular registration period.<br />
Tuition & Fees Payment<br />
All tuition and fees must be paid at the time of registration.<br />
Checks or money orders are acceptable when made payable to<br />
<strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong>. A charge of $25 will be assessed for all<br />
checks issued to the <strong>college</strong> and not paid upon presentation to<br />
the bank. The <strong>college</strong> offers a payment plan option to students<br />
who cannot pay their entire bill in full at the time of registration.<br />
Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are also<br />
accepted.<br />
Office of Student Life Emergency Loan Fund<br />
Penalty Fees*<br />
The following penalty fees will be assessed to students who<br />
are delinquent in payment of their Office of Student Life<br />
Emergency Loans:<br />
14-20 days overdue.................................$5<br />
21 or more days overdue.....................$10<br />
Return Check Fee................................. $25<br />
The student shall also be responsible for absorbing all costs<br />
involved in collection of any delinquent emergency loans and/<br />
or penalty fee.<br />

International Students<br />
In order for an international student to attend <strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>County</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong>, the following requirements must be met prior to<br />
acceptance and our issuing an I-20 Student Visa form:<br />
1. Submission of a completed admissions application. The<br />
addresss on the application should indicate where the student<br />
would be living while attending <strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />
2. All minors, under 18 years of age, must show proof of high<br />
school diploma or United States equivalent and are required<br />
to have a sponsor. A minor’s admissions application must be<br />
signed by the student and by the sponsor.<br />
3. A notarized affidavit from a United States citizen or an<br />
authorized agency attesting to the assumption of responsibility<br />
for the international student during the period the individual<br />
intends to remain in the United States. The affidavit of support<br />
must be a completed I-134 found at www.uscis.gov.<br />
4. Satisfactory performance on the Test of English as a Foreign<br />
Language (TOEFL) is required as evidence of proficiency in<br />
English. If the exam is taken on a computer the passing score<br />
is 173 and if paper based, the passing score is 500. TOEFL<br />
iBT passing score is 61. Students who <strong>current</strong>ly reside in<br />
the United States under some type of visa can submit the<br />
following TOEFL scores: a score of 127 or high on a computer<br />
based test, 443 or higher on a paper-based test or a passing<br />
score of 43 or higher for the TOEFL iBT. An additional test<br />
of language skills will be required and students will have to<br />
take additional English courses depending on their scores. All<br />
international student applicants must meet this requirement.<br />

5. The cost of tuition for an international student will be the<br />
same as that of an out-of-state or foreign resident, regardless<br />
of residency. Documented funds for educational and living<br />
expenses must be shown in a bank account or other readily<br />
convertible assets excluding real estate and other fixed assets.<br />

6. An international address from the student’s country of<br />
origin, with a photocopy of their <strong>current</strong> Visa and Passport,<br />
is required for identification purposes. Students must also<br />
note what type of <strong>current</strong> Visa they have if they are already<br />
in the United States.<br />
7. Since <strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong> is a non-residential institution,<br />
the student must make arrangements for room, board, and<br />
transportation. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange<br />
this prior to the start of classes.<br />
8. When applying for the Spring Semester, we must receive all<br />
completed paperwork by November 15th. When applying for<br />
the Fall Semester, we must receive it by July 15th.<br />
9a. Students who are transferring their F-1 Visa into <strong>Ocean</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong> must also complete the Notice of Intention<br />
to Transfer form and submit a copy of all I-20s they have<br />
received from their <strong>current</strong> and previous schools.<br />
9b. Student who will be receiving their first I-20 must pay the<br />
SEVIS fee at www.fmjfee.com.<br />
<strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong> abides by the Student and Exchange<br />
Visitor Information System (SEVIS) regulations regarding the<br />
reporting of international students. While attending <strong>Ocean</strong><br />
<strong>County</strong> <strong>College</strong>, all international students must be full timestudents.<br />
International students are required to register and<br />
complete a minimum of 12 credits each semester.<br />
