Action
Look in the /devices directory to see why this device does not exist, or why the
program expects it to exist. The similar "No such device or address" message tends
to indicate I/O problems with an existing device, whereas this message tends to
indicate a device that does not exist at all.

This error can occur when a tape drive is off-line or when a device has been
