3. Invoke this script by typing:<br />

% ./host/host/bin/installOption<br />

where host is the name of the UNIX host type plus the name of the operating<br />

system running on the host (for example, “sun4-sunos4”). See the above<br />

section for option flags.<br />

The GNU ToolKit for the target CPU architecture(s) must already be installed before this<br />

script is run, because the appropriate archiver must be used to update the <strong>Tornado</strong><br />

library.<br />

CAVEAT<br />

This script reads the BSP or optional product tape twice. You must use a rewinding tape<br />

device.<br />

installUlipSolaris<br />

NAME<br />

installUlipSolaris – install ULIP files on Solaris host<br />

SYNOPSIS installUlipSolaris [ basic | uninstall ]<br />

DESCRIPTION<br />

This script installs the mechanisms and files to make ULIP services work on Solaris<br />

(SunOS 5.X). When run with no options, installUlipSolaris provides a mechanism for<br />

ULIP to automatically start and stop when Solaris is booted and shutdown.<br />

The first action performed by this script is to stop all ULIP services if they are installed<br />

and working. Upon successful installation, this script also starts ULIP services before<br />

exiting.<br />

This script must be run as root.<br />

The following files are produced when installing:<br />

/etc/init.d/ulip<br />

/sbin/loopd<br />

/kernel/drv/ul<br />

/kernel/drv/ul.conf<br />

- ULIP start/stop script<br />

- loopd daemon<br />

- ULIP driver<br />

- ULIP driver configuration file<br />

When run with no arguments the script also installs the following:<br />

/etc/rc2.d/S80ulip<br />

/etc/rc0.d/K10ulip<br />

- Link to /etc/init.d/ulip<br />

- Link to /etc/init.d/ulip<br />
