Allen has 20 years experience in research, consultancy and business<br />

management. He worked for 13 years for a fast-growing management<br />

consultancy headquartered in Manchester and was appointed a Director<br />

of this company in 1998, primarily as a result of his success in building an<br />

international contracts base. He has worked extensively in the Middle East<br />

and North Africa as well as North America. He has helped many ROI based<br />

companies to enter and grow their sales in UK markets.<br />

As co-Director of Strategem Ireland, Allen supports clients with a practical<br />

combination of market analysis, marketing and sales planning, sales lead<br />

generation and broader aspects of strategy and business planning.<br />

• Identifying UK acquisitions for a Dublin based printing company<br />

• Helping a Waterford based lighting company to secure distribution in<br />

the UK<br />

• Working with a north Dublin plastics company to secure new business in<br />

the UK mobile phone sector<br />

• Preparing a business plan for a Slane based heavy engineering company<br />

• Assisting local services companies to secure large contracts in the<br />

public sector<br />

• Providing specific market analysis and contact making to assist a<br />

local engineering company secure extensive contracts in the renewable<br />

energy field<br />

• Assisting a local textiles company with research into export markets<br />

which has led to new contracts being won abroad<br />

• Helping a local electronics company to identify and pursue completely<br />

new application markets for their technology, leading to this company<br />

securing significant new investment from capital markets and growing<br />
