Over forty years commercial experience with thirty five years at Director/<br />

Senior management level in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (F.M.C.G.)<br />

market, working with United Biscuits, Groupe Danone, Nabisco and W&R<br />

Jacob.<br />

Prior to the aforementioned experience, I successfully launched a range<br />

of cheese products into the Northern Ireland market, securing listings in<br />

all channels for Golden Vale Food Products, now part of the Kerry Food<br />

Group.<br />

Broad breath of experience and knowledge in sales, marketing and logistics,<br />

for ambient foods, confectionery and beverages, coupled with the ability to<br />

apply a commercial perspective with a ‘Hands on’ approach to execute the<br />

factors that influence business success.<br />

Proven track record in identifying Companies with products that require a<br />

route to market, (R.T.M. ) including International, and cross border brands<br />

successfully implementing contractual / Distributor arrangements.<br />

Track record developing marketing strategies to achieve objectives and<br />

listings in multiples, symbols, wholesale, C&C and convenience stores to<br />

grow sales revenue.<br />

National Account Management experience executing trading strategies,<br />

positively influencing and negotiating at all levels, both internally and<br />

externally.<br />

Committed and proven track record in building excellent trading partnerships<br />

and relationships with companies and customers, to the mutual benefit of all<br />

stakeholders.<br />

Experience leading, mentoring and motivating Sales, Logistics, Finance, and<br />

Administration management, and wider teams to achieve challenging targets<br />

and objectives.<br />

Track record managing businesses, controlling overheads, and achieving<br />

sustainable sales revenue and earnings.<br />

On retiring from United Biscuits in July 2011 and in partnership with my wife,<br />

we set up Parklane Commercial Consultancy Limited, our main function is<br />

to assist companies who wish to develop their business in Northern Ireland,<br />

by sourcing new Principals. We trawl R.O.I, G.B and continental Europe for<br />

potential brands.<br />

Ability to analyse market data to establish the strengths and weaknesses<br />

of the competitive set, using this insight to identify channels, and increase<br />

distribution.
