strategies for green growth by related experts will be available
in the second part of the seminar.
Fashion and IT
'Smart Fashion', a fusion between traditional clothing and state
of the art technology will definitely attract a lot of attention from
viewers. Digital Clothing and Digital Garment are key technologies
in the new 'Smart Fashion'. 'Digital Clothing' allows 3D digitalization
of a piece of real life clothing so you can see how you
would look in it. The core component of this innovation is the
ability to recreate a near perfect replica of the article of clothing
within the computer. Ubiquitous, cutting edge apparel labeled
'Digital Garment' is an electro-conductive fiber that is used to
transmit large amount of data extremely quickly. Once sewn together
with normal fabrics, this digital thread would act as a circuit
on a circuit board and allow data transmission.
Construction and IT
The collaboration between construction and information technology
is bringing about a new age of ubiquitous technology. GS
construction will showcase their smart home network for the first
time at the Ilsan Xi apartments. They are headed towards a new
ubiquitous city which is installed with home network systems and
security systems. An automated waste disposal system will be implemented
to replace the uncomfortable trek to the dumpster with
an easy trip to the id-card-activated disposal system in each floor.
The natural air/forced ventilation hybrid air conditioning system
will pump in fresh air constantly without having to open the window.
An electrothermal heat exchange system will allow energy
conservation by minimizing heat loss during ventilation.
Future of the Korean IT industry has always started from KES
"The future of the Korean IT industry has always started from
KES. Last year, we showed the clear vision of Green PC Cafe
and cloud computing. These are now being used as a good solution
for global warming issues as well as energy saving strategy.
We also displayed 3D content. 3D Avatar came out in the following
January. Who would've imagined it would be possible to see
the World Cup in 3D six months later? In electronics market,
three months may as well be a light year. KES has been consistently
providing the insight into the future of consumer life. Last
year, we had a five percent increase in the number of visitors. This
year, we expect to host more visitors than ever before in KES's
history." Director Kang said.
Organizer
Celebrating its 41st anniversary, KES is preparing for the next
40 years to come. All the participants can witness and experience
the electronic and IT industry's latest trend. KES is becoming the
marketplace for business actions. First, the government, along
with many research institutes, is hosting, "The Creative Future
Forum" to provide direction for the future electronic and IT industry.
In the exhibition, mergers with IT technology with cars,
marine engineering, textile, and medical field will be discussed.
Here, popular dot com companies such as Google and Twitter
will be invited to the exhibition for insights on predicting what the
future society would look like given the directions for the industry
in relation to creativity.

President Jeon Sang-hwon stated, "Celebrating our 41st anniversary,
KES is now prepared to show many different exhibitions
and trading opportunities for future consumers and investors
to prepare for the next 40 years development in the technology
era to come."
