Toys have been friends of kids since the beginning of time.
They should be the friends who are intelligent, fun and safe, but
sometimes they are violent and hazardous. For that reason, parents
need to keep track of what is safe and what isn't. The
Ministry of Knowledge Economy has made some suggestions to
help parents find the the perfect friends for their children. At the
top of the list is Daesung Toy's Motor Series, one of the world
class products chosen by the Ministry Knowledge Economy in
2009. The Motor Series look just like real cars. Their toys are recognized
the world over as first-class plastic friction vehicle toys.
They are known for their stability and interesting and educational
functions. To be sure, the various types of cars in the Motor
Series line, which are operated by friction, are fascinating enough
to keep children's interest.
Daesung Toys (http://www.dstoy.com/) has been producing
toys with safe nontoxic ABS materials approved by the US -
FDA (The Food and Drug Administration) the company was
founded in 1998. With their production know-how, they have
gained worldwide recognition for their safety and interesting designs.
Daesung Toys designs their toys meet the needs of our children
for multilateral ways of education, in order to raise creative
ability. They strive to produce products in the belief that toys can
empower the infinite creativity in our children. Recently, the
company unveiled Bing Bing and Gears. Bing Bing fascinated
children with its movement, interesting shapes and colors.
"These are educational toys. Kids gain mathematical and scientific
ability naturally just by assembling the toy." said an official
from Daesung Toys. In fact, Bing Bing Blocks have received
many international awards, including 'Best Toy Award', and 'Dr.
Toy Winner'. Also a kid favorite like the Bing Bing, Gear stimulates
creativity in children. It contains interesting accessories including
an LED dome light, flip gear, and glow stickers. Kids can
construct anything they want by assembling different shapes of
blocks. KimYearim/ yearim@koreaittimes.com
of mobile phones will go down. On the hardware front, North
Korea aims to develop and manufacture its own hand-held mobile
phones, but at the moment, mobile phones will be imported
from foreign nations, primarily from China. For now, a new production
line is planned to be built by a joint venture company,
which was formed by foreign capital and the Chosen Post, to assemble
imported parts into finished goods. North Korea said it
would set up a nation-wide mobile communications system in order
to modernize its communication system. Building an upgraded
mobile communication system has been of great interest to
North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, so this project is expected to
gain momentum quickly. According to South Korean mobile carriers
and South Korea's Korea Communications Commission
(KCC), only senior government figures are using mobile phones
right now in the North. Yet the general public will soon get their
hands on mobile devices. As for the North Korean mobile communications
industry, getting foreign investors can be a problem.
But the real issue lies with North Korea's poor electricity grids,
which are so insufficient that anticipated high electricity demand
from maintaining network facilities and charging mobile phones
may not be met. Regardless, it is indeed very encouraging that the
North offers 3G mobile communication services to the public. I
believe that the commercialization of 3G mobile communication
services would serve as a stepping stone to North Korea's gradual
reform and market opening, which are deemed to be inevitable in
the end.
