HOME GAMES<br />
Pre-Game Equipment & Provisions Checklist<br />
Below is a checklist for the Home Game Controller to use prior to each home game:<br />
• The top edge of each ring must be positioned horizontally 3.05 m above the floor.<br />
• All backboard support structures must have the bases completely padded from the floor<br />
to a minimum height of 2.15 m on the court side surface.<br />
• Ensure that the playing court surface is clean, smooth and dry.<br />
• Ensure that lighting levels are sufficient on all areas of the playing court.<br />
• Ensure that the game clocks are operational and synchronised — 4 × 10 minute quarters<br />
format.<br />
• Ensure that the shot clocks are operational and synchronised — 24 seconds.<br />
• Ensure that the hooter is operational and set to a volume that can be clearly heard even<br />
with a full vocal crowd.<br />
• Ensure that the scoreboard is operational and fully functional.<br />
• Ensure that player foul markers, team foul markers, a team fouls indicator (for bonus situations),<br />
and possession arrow are provided.<br />
• Ensure that an appropriate Molten match ball is available for selection by the referee.<br />
• Ensure team and referee changing rooms are clearly marked, tidy and lockable.<br />
• Ensure that a video camera is set up and operational to video the game (if not being covered<br />
live and in full by SKY).<br />
• Ensure that floor wipers are provided with all necessary equipment (including uniform).<br />
• Ensure that medical gloves are used when wiping up any blood spills.<br />
• Ensure that courtside signage is positioned 2 m back from the playing court boundary.<br />
• Ensure that NBL signage requirements are being met in terms of numbers and positioning<br />
(refer to this manual).<br />
• Ensure that all necessary forms are provided including score sheet, game report, ACC injury<br />
sheets and statistics sheets (even if using computerised stats in case of problem). In<br />
addition to the above, the following checklist applies to any televised the NBL game:<br />
– Ensure that spectators are ushered to seating areas as stipulated by the NBL.<br />
– Ensure that non-basketball court lines are taped over as stipulated by the NBL.<br />
– Ensure that new ring nets are put up for any full match televised game on SKY.<br />
Visiting Teams<br />
Below is a checklist for visiting teams:<br />
• Provide the home team with an accurate current player list including name, height, weight,<br />
age, position, and number, as well as names of all other team personnel no later than noon<br />
on Monday of a weekend game or at least five days prior for a mid week game.<br />
• Advise home teams as to the colour of uniform to be worn by the visiting team on the<br />
Monday of a weekend game or at least five days prior for a mid week game.<br />
• Advise home team of travel details, accommodation location, and travelling team contact<br />
details.<br />
