e) adopt a fighting attitude towards a player, coach, referee or official;<br />

f) use abusive, threatening or obscene language towards a player, coach, official or<br />

other person;<br />

g) pause a player, coach, referee or official with open palm or shoulder or hip;<br />

h) strike a player, coach, referee or official with the ball or other objects;<br />

i) wager anything of value in connection with any game or event conducted by or<br />

under the auspices of BBNZ;<br />

j) offer, give, solicit or accept, or agree to offer, give, solicit or accept anything of<br />

value to or from any person with the intent to influence any player’s efforts in a<br />

game;<br />

k) engage in aggravated behaviour; or<br />

l) engage in conduct contrary to the integrity of the game of basketball.<br />

6.3 A person commits an offence if they engage in unsporting conduct as covered by the<br />

BBNZ Code of Conduct and BBNZ Fair Play Policy.<br />

6.4 A person commits an offence if they engage in conduct that brings the game of basketball<br />

or an Affiliated Association or National <strong>Basketball</strong> League Limited or League team<br />

or BBNZ into disrepute.<br />

7 Who can make a report that an offence has occurred?<br />

7.1 A report that a person has committed an alleged offence may be made by:<br />

a) an official in relation to conduct that occurred during a basketball game in which<br />

they officiated; or<br />

b) a floor controller in relation to conduct occurring at any facility when an event is<br />

being conducted under the auspices of BBNZ or in relation to conduct occurring<br />

during a basketball game; or<br />

c) Any other person not covered by (a) or (b) that witnessed the alleged offence; or<br />

d) the BBNZ CEO; or<br />

e) the League Manager for a League.<br />

8 How is a report made and to whom?<br />

8.1 A report of an alleged offence shall be in writing, signed by the person making the report<br />

and shall include:<br />

a) the name of the person making the report;<br />

b) the capacity in which the person makes the report;<br />

c) the name of the person who has been alleged of making the alleged offence;<br />

d) what offence, or offences, it is alleged the alleged offender has committed; with reference<br />

to any relevant rules of the game of basketball or in the BBNZ <strong>Manual</strong>;<br />

e) a description of how the alleged offence was allegedly committed; and<br />

f) the name of any known witnesses.<br />

8.2 In the case of an alleged offence occurring in a basketball game:<br />

a) The alleged offence must be recorded in writing on the back of the score sheet for<br />

the game within 20 minutes after completion of the game; and<br />
