Box-to-Box Applications<br />
The <strong>CHAMP</strong> .050 Series,<br />
low profile connectors provide<br />
a shielded I/O system<br />
for box-to-box interconnection.<br />
These headers offer<br />
four-row contact configuration,<br />
minimizing total PC<br />
board real estate requirements,<br />
coupled with a low<br />
profile, only .374 [9.50]<br />
high. In addition, they are<br />
designed to facilitate blind<br />
mating. <strong>CHAMP</strong> .050 Series<br />
connectors use the industry<br />
recognized and accepted<br />
ribbon leaf contact design<br />
to provide low mating force.<br />
The subminiature D type<br />
interface affords positive<br />
polarization to assure<br />
proper mating. Housings<br />
made of high temperature<br />
LCP are compatible with IR<br />
reflow and other surface<br />
mount soldering techniques.<br />
These right angle plugs and<br />
receptacles, and vertical<br />
mount plugs offer both perpendicular<br />
and horizontal<br />
dock-to-dock mating.<br />
<strong>CHAMP</strong> .050 Series I<br />
Docking Connector is<br />
designed for use on new<br />
notebook type PCs. This<br />
product group has been<br />
developed to provide an<br />
improved ESD (Electrostatic<br />
Discharge) protection by<br />
means of shielding. Two<br />
versions are available,<br />
board-to-board connector<br />
and board-mount connector<br />
to mate with wiremount plug<br />
