X-RAY SERIES:
Quite often an x-ray examination will require the taking of a number of pictures. This is referred
to as an x-ray series and is summarized in one report. For example, a metastatic series involves
x-raying various parts of the body to determine whether or not a cancer has metastasized to any
of those parts. The following illustration (Example E2) is a typical x-ray report of a metastatic
series. Abstract what you think is pertinent in the report and then compare it with the suggested
abstraction on page 37.
