• February 24- March 31, 2010 – Jacksonville
— Reported August 16, 2010 by Channel 6 News.
— Six arrests were made due to crimes discovered during a joint investigation by the Federal
Bureau of Investigation and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office targeting child prostitution.
— The "Operation Abandoned Hope" investigated child prostitution allegations regarding the sex
trafficking of a minor girl, aged 15, between February 24 and March 31.
— Six indictments were issued against six individuals.
Georgia
• July 11, 2011- Norcross
— Reported on July 11, 2011, by Laura Sullivan of Lilburn-Mountain Park Patch
— Carl Fredrik Skow, 33, of Norcross has been arrested for sex trafficking of a child. He made
arrangements for an underage person to be in his custody for a year.
— Officials were able to make the arrest after a two-month operation, according to the GBI.
— The GBI’s new Human Trafficking Unit and the Sandy Springs Police Department assisted
U.S. Immigration and Customs to make the arrest. This is the first arrest that the new unit has
been involved in, according to Bankhead.
• July 10, 2011- Atlanta

— A missing Nashville teen, 16, was rescued from an Atlanta area human trafficking and
prostitution network, and one man was arrested during the investigation, authorities said.
— According to hotel records agents recovered, the teen had been staying there for more than
30 days.
— She was taken to the Metro Youth Detention Center pending transport to Tennessee, and in
a Friday morning hearing she was waived extradition to Tennessee.

— Soloman Manasseh Mustafa, 37, of Stone Mountain was arraigned before a federal
magistrate judge Wednesday.
— A grand jury indicted him and 24-year-old Kalandra Annette Wallace of Jonesboro last week
after prosecutors said they operated a sex trafficking ring in metro Atlanta and sometimes
transported young women to Alabama or North Carolina to engage in sex acts.
— The pair posted ads on websites like Craigslist and Backpage to recruit the young women
between January and June 2010, according to the indictment
