- Dr. Canaan Harris of St. Joseph Medical Center plans to donate reconstructive facial surgery
to Shellysia Milton.
- Shellysia Milton, 19, is a Houston teenager who was forced into prostitution as a child and
tortured.
- Dr. Harris says most of Milton's injuries are soft tissue trauma. His biggest concern is the
tearing in the corner of her eye.
- For two years, cops say, Christopher Crawford, 24, forced her into prostitution almost every
night of the week. If she didn't do exactly as she was told, police say Crawford was
unmerciful on her.

— Ex-Spur hauled back to jail
— Alvin Robertson, 48, a San Antonio resident who played with the Spurs from 1984 to 1989,
was arrested for Trafficking of Persons Under 18 for Prostitution, Sexual Assault of a Child
and Sexual Performance of a Child
— He forced a 14-year-old girl to have sex with men for money from Corpus Christi to San
Antonio.
— State District Judge Juanita Vasquez-Gardner ordered that his bail be increased from
$150,000 to $200,000 after a Bexar County Pretrial Services bond officer raised allegations
that he met with a co-defendant and has ignored a no-contact order regarding an alleged
adult victim.

— A 14-year-old girl suspected of prostitution told police her mother and grandmother, both
convicted prostitutes, forced her to sell her body to pay their living expenses.
— Alicia Melchor, 33, and Elizabeth Buford, 55, were arrested Tuesday on charges of
compelling prostitution after the girl led police to a motel room after they picked her up on
Telephone Road.
• July 13, 2010 – San Antonio

— Ramon Sanchez, 73, offered a 12-year-old girl money at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s
Witnesses and asked her to meet him by the restrooms
— She met him there, where he kissed her and fondled her before paying her $20.

— 6-3 Decision that girls younger than 14 cannot be charged with prostitution. Because girls
under 14 cannot consent to sex, they cannot be charged with prostitution.
— Stemmed from a case involving a 13-year-old girl living with her 32-year-old “boyfriend” who
tried to accept money to perform oral sex on an undercover officer.

— Police say three people from Colorado have been arrested and now face child prostitution
charges in Salt Lake City.
— 28-year-old Roscoe Gallman of Colorado Springs, 24-year-old Sasha Montiel, and 20-yearold
Abelina Roybal of Denver were arrested at a SLC Motel, where officers followed up on a
tip of an online advertisement for prostitution services.
