- Police officers searching during the weekend for a wanted parolee uncovered what Concord
authorities said was a scheme involving the prostitution of a teenage runaway.
- Mario Cano, 33, of Concord, was wanted for violating parole, and officers tracked him to a
home in the 1600 block of Donaldson Court about midnight Saturday.
- Police also found 37-year-old Derrick Jackson and a 16-year-old girl, whose explanations for
being there immediately raised suspicion.
- Cano and Jackson were booked into Contra Costa County Jail on suspicion of contributing to
the delinquency of a minor, possessing methamphetamine, possession of obscene material,
unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, solicitation of prostitution, pandering for prostitution,
human trafficking of a subject under 18, and lewd and lascivious acts with a child.

- Patrick Jones, 22, was convicted in May of one count each of sexual exploitation of a child
and sex trafficking of children and sentenced to 15 years in federal prison.
- Co-defendants Dwayne Tousant, 24, and Dominique Willis, were sentenced to 10 and nine
years.
- They picked up the 14-year-old at a restaurant on El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego and
drove her to Oceanside, where she was forced to pose for explicit photographs so "johns"
could be solicited to engage in commercial sex acts with the child.

— Reginald Wilson, 23, sentenced to 7 ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to Sex Trafficking
of Minors in September 2009.
— Wilson recruited a 15- and 16-year-old and forced them into prostitution.

— Reported July 26, 2010, by CBS13 in Sacramento County.
— Several victims forced into prostitution are in custody after police found them on the street
after curfew.

• July 15, 2010 – San Diego
— Reported July 15, 2010, by Debbi Baker of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
— Charles Daun Hamilton, 33, allegedly forced a 16-year-old to work as a prostitute from April
to June 2010.
— Hamilton was indicted July 8, 2010, on one count of Sex Trafficking of Children by Force,
Fraud or Coercion.

— Reported June 25, 2010, by Cathy Locke of the Sacramento Bee.
— Dominick West, 29, was sentenced to 10 years for Interstate Transportation of a Minor for
Sex to be served concurrently with the 51-year sentence he is currently serving for murder.
— Police report filed January 11, 2008, of a 15-year-old runaway from Montana being offered as
a prostitute on Craigslist.
— Girl was taken into custody and her story learned during a sting operation conducted by an
undercover officer.
