— 25-year-old Valencia Nakia Bailey was behind bars Wednesday, accused <strong>of</strong> forcing a<br />
teenager into a life <strong>of</strong> prostitution.<br />
— The 16 year old victim said Bailey would put sex ads with her picture on backpage.com.<br />
— Bailey was arrested on Tuesday and was being held on $20,000 bond.<br />
• June 23, 2011- Lubbock<br />
— Reported on June 23, 2011, by James Clark <strong>of</strong> KCBD.com<br />
— A Lubbock man accused <strong>of</strong> participating in a child sex trafficking ring, Chanze Lamount<br />
Pringler, 25, pleaded not guilty Wednesday afternoon.<br />
— He and his co-defendant, Megan Lee Norman, 19, were arrested back in March during a<br />
Lubbock Police sting operation and were accused <strong>of</strong> coercing an underage girl into<br />
prostitution.<br />
— Pringler and Norman will be in court next week for the judge to decide if they can bond out <strong>of</strong><br />
jail before trial.<br />
— Previously reported on June 1, 2011, by Avalanche-Journal: A federal grand jury<br />
Wednesday handed down a three-count indictment charging Chanze Lamount Pringler, 25,<br />
and Megan Lee Norman, 19, with perpetrating a child sex-trafficking conspiracy.<br />
— Previously reported on April 1, 2011, by Avalanche-Journal: Norman and Pringler were<br />
arrested in an undercover sex trafficking sting operation and booked into the Lubbock County<br />
Jail on multiple prostitution-related charges. The 16-year-old victim was taken to the Lubbock<br />
County Juvenile Justice Center (and has since been released to Child Protective Services).<br />
• May 6, 2011- Midland*<br />
— Reported on May 6, 2011, by Audrie Palmer <strong>of</strong> Midland Reporter-Telegram<br />
— Jay Lavone Lloyd, 40, pleaded guilty to a trafficking <strong>of</strong> a persons charge Thursday before a<br />
Midland judge and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.<br />
— He was originally arrested October 22 after an undercover prostitution sting revealed that he<br />
was prostituting a 17 year old girl.<br />
— Midland County Sheriff's Office investigators had set up the sting after learning about the<br />
escort service, Doll House Mates, through a solicitation on Backpage.com, a website similar<br />
to Craigslist where people can post services and want ads.<br />
— Lloyd has been held in the Midland County Jail on a $500,000 bond since his arrest.<br />
— Previously reported on October 25, 2010, by Abby Reed <strong>of</strong> NewsWest 9: Lloyd and<br />
Thomas were arrested during an undercover sting operation and face charges with human<br />
trafficking and compelling prostitution and could serve life if convicted. They remain in jail with<br />
$250,000 bonds for each charge<br />

— Federal agents arrested a fourth man the day after an indictment against three others in a<br />
teen sex trafficking case was unsealed in federal court.<br />
— Antonio Martinez Villarreal, 38, joins Juan Antonio Garcia Garay, 31, Juan Ignacio Chavarria,<br />
25, and Jorge Eutacio Martinez Mendoza, 46, indicted on human trafficking and smuggling<br />
charges<br />
— The victim was a 13 year old girl<br />
• March 3, 2011- Austin<br />
— Reported on March 3, 2011, by Enrique Rangel <strong>of</strong> Lubbock Online<br />
— In mid-February, nearly two weeks after the city <strong>of</strong> Arlington hosted the 2011 Super Bowl,<br />
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said federal, state and local authorities succeeded in<br />
cracking down on sex traffickers, netting 133 arrests.<br />
