ARMOUR OF GOD

In his letter to the church at Ephesus Paul points to her high responsibility, her special place in the plan of God. She has been called to victorious life in her risen Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, victorious life in the spiritual warfare against invisible and perilous powers of Satan, continuously opposing her on her way to perfection.

have need of it I isolate myself, so to speak; I create an enclosure
around me, a room to pray, an inner room, and I put myself outside
of the down-pulling powers of the world. Many people all over the
world have declared to have received wonderful blessings in their
lives with the Lord by this speaking in tongues. They have
experienced this extraordinary powerful weapon in the fight against
the evil powers, and it cannot be compared with any other. Satan is
terrified of this weapon. He has obscured this truth in all circles of
believers, setting God's people up against it He has sought mistakes
and has overstressed these. His tactics, though, are quite clear; it is
apparent he fears this weapon more than anything else. But every
honest, Bible-believing Christian, wanting to follow his Saviour at
all costs, will acknowledge that Jesus put these words in the centre of
His great commission for the conversion of this world: 'In my name
shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues' (Mark
16: 17).
When the Head of the church says to the believers that they
shall speak with new tongues, we must not reject the Scripture. At
the end of 1 Corinthians 14, the chapter that deals with the gifts of
tongues and prophecy, Paul says: 'Let him acknowledge that the
things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord'
(1 Cor. 14: 37). 'But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with
tongues' (1 Cor. 14: 38-39). Many believers experience that Satan
yields to their praying in the Spirit A Stronger One, a Mightier One
within us prays and fights along with us. 'Ye ... have overcome them
(the evil spirits as mentioned in 1 John 4 : 1-3); because greater is
He that is in you, than he that is in the world' (1 John 4 : 4). Hallelujah!
He that is in us, the Holy Spirit of God in us, is greater and
stronger than all powers of darkness, and Satan is defeated. 'Ye have
overcome them.' So, the personal evil spirits of darkness have been
overcome by the Greater One, the King, the Lord, to whom is given
all power in heaven and on earth. In Him, Jesus Christ, we are more
than conquerors! Hallelujah!
