coupled to twos: 'Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree<br />
on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for<br />
them of My Father which is in heaven. For when two or three are<br />
gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them'<br />
(Matt 18: 19-20).<br />
Identification<br />
If you have received the fulfilment of the Holy Spirit with the<br />
accompanying signs, as well as the nine gifts of the Spirit, you are<br />
going to need one of these gifts in particular during the battle - the gift<br />
of the discernment of spirits. This gift is a God-given ability to<br />
discover the presence of spirits and to establish their identity.<br />
'Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are<br />
of God' (1 John 4 : 1). Which spirits are revealed in the one<br />
possessed, how many spirits, from which order, what names do they<br />
bear? You need all this data; you should know what is going on; with<br />
which powers you are concerned. The Lord has provided one with<br />
the wonderful gift of discernment, identification of spirits. This world<br />
of darkness is not open to inspection for the natural person. But the<br />
religious person gets introduced in a supernatural way, and is<br />
provided with data, so that he is able to do a successful job in the<br />
name of J esus. You do not extend your weapons into uncertainty of<br />
darkness. It is a question of a battle aimed at the opponent. (We refer<br />
you to 'The Gifts of the Spirit', the book in which the gifts of the<br />
Spirit have been more extensively discussed.)<br />
The gift of identification of spirits is not the same as the power<br />
to cast out these spirits. Faith is necessary for the exorcism. God has<br />
given you' enough' faith for this! The Master spoke on the day that He<br />
mounted the Throne, and these were His last words on earth: 'And<br />
these signs shall follow them that believe (signs of the faith of the<br />
believer!); In My name shall they (the believers) cast out devils'<br />
(Mark 16 : 17). The gift was given for identifying, and the faith is<br />
employed in exorcism.<br />
Appraisal of spirits<br />
When you have discerned the spirit( s) and know what you are<br />
fighting against, start preparing for the battle. Each member of your<br />
team fulfills his own task. The one will attack the opponent( s), while<br />
the other prays in tongues. He carries the ammunition. This is the<br />
