Retrieve material cross-sections and stopping power<br />

CALL GFTMAT<br />

(IMATE,IPART,CHMECA,KDIM,TKIN,VALUE*,PCUT*,IXST*)<br />

Retrieve and interpolate the dE/dx and cross-sections tabulated in material banks corresponding to a given<br />

array of kinetic energy bins.<br />

IMATE (INTEGER) material number;<br />

IPART (INTEGER) particle number;<br />

CHMECA (CHARACTER*4) name of the mechanism bank to be retrieved;<br />

KDIM (INTEGER) dimension of the arrays TKIN and VALUE;<br />

TKIN (REAL) array of kinetic energies in GeV;<br />

VALUE (REAL) array of energy losses in MeV cm −1 , or macroscopic cross sections in cm −1 ;<br />

PCUT (REAL) array containing the 5 energy thresholds for the material in GeV (CUTGAM, CUTELE,<br />

CUTNEU, CUTHAD, CUTMUO);<br />

IXST (INTEGER) return code:<br />

0 the table was not filled:<br />

1 normal return; values are returned into the VALUE array;<br />

The mechanisms have the following conventional name and a code number (IMECA):<br />

HADF ( 1) total hadronic interaction cross-section according to FLUKA;<br />

INEF ( 2) hadronic inelastic cross-section according to FLUKA;<br />

ELAG ( 8) hadronic elastic cross-section according to GHEISHA;<br />

FISG ( 9) nuclear fission cross-section according to GHEISHA;<br />

CAPG (10) neutron capture cross-section according to GHEISHA;<br />

LOSS (11) stopping power;<br />

PHOT (12) photoelectric cross-section;<br />

ANNI (13) positron annihilation cross-section;<br />

COMP (14) Compton effect cross-section;<br />

BREM (15) bremsstrahlung cross-section;<br />
