Registration

Registration Fee
The registration fee for <strong>the</strong> GA <strong>and</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> before 15 June 2012 is US$350 for ordinary attendees <strong>and</strong>
US$200 for <strong>IUBS</strong> individual members, students, middle school teachers <strong>and</strong> accompanying guests. After this,
<strong>the</strong> registration will be US$400 <strong>and</strong> US$300 respectively. The registration fee does not cover local
accommodation or insurance. Your registration becomes valid only after your payment.

Refund Policy
The <strong>Conference</strong> Secretariat incurs costs immediately upon <strong>the</strong> registration of a participant. If no o<strong>the</strong>r costs
are incurred, <strong>the</strong>re will be a 20% processing fee of your registration fee for a refund. There will be no refunds

Currency Exchange, Credit Cards <strong>and</strong> ATM
The Chinese currency is <strong>the</strong> Chinese yuan, known as CNY or RMB. One CNY consists of 10 jiao (‘dimes’, or
100 fen, ‘cents’). Bank note denominations available are 1, 5, 10, 50 <strong>and</strong> 100 CNY. Participants can exchange
currency at airports, major hotels <strong>and</strong> banks. Note that <strong>the</strong>re is often a fee for this service. You must have
your passport when exchanging money, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> daily exchange rate is provided by <strong>the</strong> Bank of China.
Currently, $1US is equivalent <strong>to</strong> approximately 6.28 CNY. All currency exchange receipts must be saved, in
order <strong>to</strong> change RMB back <strong>to</strong> your own currency.
Insurance
All insurance during <strong>the</strong> meeting <strong>and</strong> while traveling in China must be self‐arranged.
