the interface, creating tool and material volumes which are increasingly coarse with<br />

distance from the interface. The mesh is finest in the work near the interface because<br />

temperature and velocity gradients are highest in the vicinity of the tool. Figure 161<br />

shows the mesh refinement and geometry. Figure 162 shows the mesh over the tool<br />

geometry, created in gambit. The meshes for both cases were then exported and loaded<br />

in Fluent.<br />
