On 27th May 2011,
Kevin Liu, chief inspector
of TÜV Rheinland’s
Certified Pre-owned
(CPO) car inspection
service, appeared in
his working overalls
on the evening news
on TVBSN, one of the
most viewed news
channels in Taiwan.
TÜV Rheinland is becoming increasingly known amongst
Taiwanese consumers for the business to consumer (B2C)
CPO service that we have been providing since 2006.
此 車 檢 服 務 可 提 供 超 過 160 個 檢 查
項 目 , 同 時 擁 有 五 年 的 在 地 經 驗 ,
我 們 的 檢 驗 師 可 確 認 車 輛 的 外 觀 及
技 術 狀 況 , 以 及 是 否 曾 發 生 車 禍 或
淹 水 。
如 今 市 場 的 競 爭 越 來 越 激 烈 , 經 銷
商 及 車 廠 本 身 皆 可 提 供 車 檢 服 務 ,
但 是 我 們 的 優 勢 在 於 作 為 第 三 方 驗
證 公 司 的 中 立 性 及 獨 立 性 。 我 們 可
為 經 銷 商 、 賣 方 及 買 方 提 供 專 業 且
持 平 的 意 見 , 因 此 我 們 的 認 證 中 古
車 檢 測 服 務 已 受 到 台 灣 一 般 民 眾 的
高 度 認 可 。 受 到 台 灣 成 功 經 驗 的 激
勵 , 我 們 正 在 規 畫 在 中 國 大 陸 提 供
中 古 車 評 鑑 服 務 。

five years of local experience, our inspectors
are able to verify a vehicle’s
optical and technical condition as
well as whether the vehicle in question
has previously been involved in
a crash or flood.
In today’s increasingly competitive
marketplace where dealers and car
manufacturers are carrying out their
own inspections, our advantage lies
in our neutrality and independence
as a third-party certifier. We are able
to offer a professional and unbiased
opinion to dealers, sellers and buyers
alike. Hence, our CPO service has
been well-received by the general
public in Taiwan. Motivated by the
success the service has achieved in
Taiwan, we are now looking into options
for how to implement a used
car evaluation programme in mainland
China.
