Evolution, LTE) 非 常 有 可 能
在 電 信 業 被 正 式 歸 類 為 4G 技
術 。 作 為 全 球 領 先 的 測 試 及 驗 證 機 構 ,

Sierra Wireless, Ltd. 的 LTE PCI Express
Mini Card (WCDMA with HSDPA/
HSUPA/LTE), 已 發 出 首 張 型 式 認 可 證
書 , 使 之 得 以 順 利 進 入 日 本 市 場 。
所 有 在 日 本 製 造 、 銷 售 或 使 用 的 電
信 設 備 , 都 需 符 合 日 本 無 線 驗 證
(JRF Approval) 及 日 本 電 信 驗 證 (JPA
Approval)。 日 本 無 線 驗 證 適 用 於 所 有 無
線 產 品 , 這 套 驗 證 系 統 乃 是 根 據 「 日 本
無 線 電 波 法 」(Japan Radio Law), 目 的
是 避 免 無 線 設 備 間 的 相 互 干 擾 , 以 有 效
利 用 無 線 電 頻 譜 。 諸 如 電 話 、 數 據 機 等
有 線 終 端 設 備 , 以 及 手 機 、 無 線 電 呼 叫
終 端 機 等 無 線 終 端 設 備 , 都 屬 於 電 信 通
訊 終 端 設 備 。 這 類 的 設 備 會 連 結 至 電 信
業 者 的 網 路 都 需 要 符 合 日 本 電 信 法 規 的
要 求 。
由 於 日 本 無 線 和 電
信 驗 證 對 於 資 料
的 正 確 度 要 求 非 常
嚴 謹 , 所 以 取 得 驗
證 十 分 耗 時 。 如 果
透 過 日 本 當 地 的 代
理 機 構 來 進 行 產 品
測 試 和 驗 證 , 出 口
商 和 製 造 商 可 能 需
要 花 更 長 的 時 間
才 能 完 成 測 試 , 取
得 驗 證 。

Local testing is available for a variety of wireless products, thereby
reducing lead times and costs significantly. We also provide support
in preparing the detailed technical application package and managing
the administrative process with the certification body in Japan, which
also saves our customers a substantial amount of effort.
Long Term Evolution (LTE)
technology is one of
the likeliest candidates
for the official classification
as a 4G technology by the
telecommunications industry. TÜV
Rheinland Taiwan, one of the world’s
leading testing and certification
organisations, is proud to announce
that we have just issued the first type
approval certificate to Sierra Wireless,
Ltd. for its LTE PCI Express Mini
Card (WCDMA with HSDPA/HSUPA/
LTE), thereby granting it access to the
Japanese market.
Telecommunications devices that
are produced, sold or operated in
Japan require both Japan Radio
Approval (JRF Approval) and Japan
Telecom Approval (JPA approval).
JRF Approval is required for all radio
products. This approval system is
based on Japan Radio Law, the aim
of which is to eliminate interference
between devices and utilise the
frequency spectrum efficient. Wired
terminals such as telephones and
modems and wireless terminals
such as mobile telephones and
radio-paging terminals are defined
as telecommunications terminal
equipment. If such equipment is to be
connected to a telecommunications
carrier network in Japan, then it is
required to comply with Japanese
telecoms requirements.
JRF and JPA Approvals are notorious
for their long lead time and stringent
information accuracy stipulations.
When using local agents in Japan
to obtain such approvals, exporters
and manufacturers may encounter
unnecessary delays in product
quality testing and certification. TÜV
Rheinland’s local expertise in Greater
China, in contrast, makes exporting
to Japan a simple and easy project.
