This course provides introductory instruction in CATIA procedures and concepts. Included in the
course is Virtual Product Modeler (VPM). This tool allows the participant access to databases
containing DaimlerChrysler s product and tooling files.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
1. manage CATIA files;
2. use the REFMODEL function;
3. identify surface wire for arms and faces;
4. use layers and filters; and,
5. analyze geometry.
