Gary Majors<br />
Gary Majors retired from the Kansas City MO Police Department after 28 years of service having obtained the rank<br />
of Major. For the past four years he has served as the manager of KCMO’s Regulated Industries Division and has<br />
initiated several ordinances and policies that give communities a stronger voice in determining the approval of<br />
liquor licenses and a means to revoke those licenses that adversely impact the character of their neighborhood.<br />
Shane Marshall<br />
Mr. Marshall currently the Chief of Police, City of Seminole, Seminole Oklahoma. Chief Marshall works closely with<br />
Seminole Lighthorse Police Department. Chief Marshall shares great appreciation for Tribal Cross-Deputization.<br />
Chief Marshall understands the complexity of the Tribal Jurisdiction with the Seminole County.<br />
Sarah Mart<br />
Sarah Mart is a Research and Policy Manager at Alcohol Justice, the industry watchdog. Her research includes<br />
alcohol promotion and related policies on Facebook; corporate alcohol’s exploitation of the small, California family<br />
winery narrative; and industry efforts to dismantle State control of alcohol sales. Previously, she directed university<br />
prevention and health promotion departments; wrote and led funded projects to reduce high-risk drinking in the<br />
college student populations; and consulted for the U.S. Department of Education.<br />
Barbara Martin<br />
Barbara Martin has developed media and policy interventions and organized community coalitions in response to<br />
alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse, and gun violence prevention issues. While at Wake Forest University School of Medicine,<br />
she was Intervention Team Lead for SPARC (the Study to Prevent Alcohol-Related Consequences), a community<br />
trial that used a community organizing approach to implement environmental change strategies to reduce<br />
high-risk drinking on college campuses.<br />
Lora Maynard<br />
Lora Maynard has been the Deputy Director for Juvenile Drug Courts with the Division of Probation Services-West<br />
Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals since June 1, 2010. She previously worked for the Division of CJ Services for<br />
12.5 years as the Lead Specialist for the Community Corrections, Juvenile Justice, and Crime Victims Assistance<br />
Units. She received a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice in 1996 and a master’s in Leadership Studies in May 2004<br />
from Marshall University.<br />
Michael McBride<br />
Michael McBride has been working in prevention with Missouri Partners in Prevention for 7 years. He received his<br />
master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Missouri.<br />
