PRESENTERS<br />
Bill Patterson<br />
Bill Patterson is a Senior Program Manager for PIRE in Calverton, Maryland, assigned to OJJDP’s <strong>Underage</strong><br />
<strong>Drinking</strong> <strong>Enforcement</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Center as a Law <strong>Enforcement</strong> Specialist. A retired State law enforcement officer<br />
from the North Carolina Department of Crime Control and Public Safety, Alcohol Law <strong>Enforcement</strong> Division, he<br />
has almost 30 years in the field of alcohol, tobacco, drug, and gambling enforcement. He is a graduate of the<br />
FBI National Academy.<br />
Gordy Pehrson<br />
Gordy Pehrson has been the Minnesota EUDL grant coordinator since 2008. He has worked for the Minnesota<br />
Department of Public Safety (Office of Traffic Safety) since 1984. His current Traffic Safety Program areas<br />
include bicycle and pedestrian, teen drivers, and enforcement grants.<br />
Starrla Penick<br />
Starrla Penick is the National Director of Programs for MADD, leading the underage drinking prevention programs,<br />
including a new community and research-based parent program: Power of Parents, It’s Your Influence.<br />
Her experience spans from non-profit program management to curriculum and training development to educating<br />
and coaching parents and school counselors. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas, with a<br />
Master of Science degree in Development/Family Studies and a minor concentration in Research.<br />
Dianne Perukel<br />
Dianne Perukel oversees Michigan’s impaired-driving and underage-drinking programs for the Office of Highway<br />
Safety Planning. She has been the EUDL coordinator since 2002, and she is the recipient of the SPF-SIG Award<br />
for Excellence and the 2009 Preventionist of the Year Award.<br />
Scott Pestridge<br />
Scott Pestridge, with OJJDP for 10 years, is a State Representative State Relations and Assistance Division<br />
(SRAD). He is responsible for all activities initiated by SRAD with juvenile justice for six State agencies in Indiana,<br />
Mississippi, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota and Washington. His assists in the interpretation of agency<br />
statutes, regulations, and policies, and serves as the Federal resource concerning funding and other assistance.<br />
His master’s degree is from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.<br />
Stacy Potter<br />
Stacy Potter is a Certified Prevention Specialist and Program Director of ROCMND Area Prevention Resource<br />
Center in Vinita, OK. Stacy has been with ROCMND 16 years and works with communities to decrease underage<br />
drinking, tobacco, and drug use as well as abuse and misuse across the lifespan. These activities include<br />
arranging alcohol compliance checks, tobacco reward reminder visits, providing Responsible Beverage Service<br />
and Sales <strong>Training</strong>, and other education to the community.<br />
Steven Pre’tat<br />
Steve Pre’tat is a retired law enforcement officer, both from the U.S. Air Force and the Great Falls Police Department.<br />
He has held varied positions and has worked in the Middle East, SW Asia, and Europe. Now, he is a<br />
