PRESENTERS Erica Roa Erica Roa is the Alcohol Standards Specialist for the Office of Student Standards and the Grant Coordinator for the EUDL (Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws)-University Initiative Grant for Charleston, Illnois. In her current job, she processes off-campus, alcohol-related violations that tend to keep her rather busy. Ms. Roa received her baccalaureate from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and her master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University. Keyria Rodgers Keyria Rodgers is the Director of Macon County Truancy Court, Macon-Piatt Regional Office of Education and Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office, Decatur, Illinois. She has been establishing Truancy Courts in the region’s school districts since 2008. She manages input of pre- and post-adjudication data and promotes collaboration of juvenile justice. She has written proposals for the City of Decatur on truancy and assisted the Decatur Drug Free Coalition in preventing UAD. Her B.A. is in criminal justice, and her M.A., in legal studies. Emily Rohloff Emily Rohloff is the communications specialist at Health First Wisconsin, a health advocacy group that facilitates the Dane County Coalition to Reduce Alcohol Abuse. For the Coalition, she works to gain media attention for its issues and speaks out for effective, evidence-based strategies to improve the environment surrounding alcohol abuse in Dane County. Previously, Ms. Rohloff was a reporter at WISC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin. Her degree in journalism and mass media is from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Adrienne Rollins Adrienne Rollins received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Public Relations and Organizational Communication from Cameron University in 2003. Ms. Rollins received her master of public administration degree from the University of Oklahoma with an emphasis in public policy in 2005. She is also a Certified Prevention Specialist. Ms. Rollins is the EUDL and SADD Coordinator in Oklahoma. Sean Rupley Sean Rupley, for over 6 years, has worked with Youth for Youth LIVE! Guam, a nonprofit, community-based organization that promotes a tobacco-, alcohol-, and drug-free lifestyle to the youth of Guam. His experience in prevention includes tobacco intervention, the certified youth crisis helpline, workshop presentation, and group facilitation. He was the youth chair for the 20th annual Youth for Youth conference and Vice-President for that year, and this year, he is the President. Lisa Salazar Lisa Salazar works with organizations to use eLearning as a way of maximizing educational reach and impact, particularly in rural areas. Prof. Salazar currently serves as co-chair of the Idaho College Health Coalition, an organization working with the Idaho EUDL coordinator, Nancy Lopez, to keep underage drinking issues off the State’s campuses. PRESENTERS Chrystian Saucedo Chrystian Saucedo, graduated in May from Torrington High School in Torrington, Wyoming. His leadership qualities have been evident throughout his life—in athletics, in the school, and in the community. He has been Co-Vice President and President of the STEP UP Youth Coalition, and he has served on the National UDETC Youth Council for 3 years. He wants to set an example for his siblings and to challenge young people to make healthy and safe choices. Lynette Saucedo Lynette Saucedo has worked with youth in rural Wyoming for 24 years; she has been in the prevention field for 12 years. Ms. Saucedo is a wife and a mother of seven, and she grew up in Wyoming. She’s passionate about youth empowerment, and she advocates for civic leadership, accountability, service, education, and achievement. She firmly believes that prevention takes a community effort to be successful. Cindy Savoy Cindy Savoy is the Youth Program Specialist for MADD Louisiana. She has been involved in prevention work through MADD for almost 10 years. Following graduation, she attended LSU and later began working with MADD. She enjoys interacting with teens in fun community projects that make positive environmental changes. She presented workshops at four recent SADD National Conferences and currently serves on the Governor’s Prevention Systems Committee, the LA Underage Drinking Task Force, and is a board member on five Underage Drinking Coalitions across her State. Steve Schmidt Steven Schmidt is Sr. Vice President of Public Policy and Communications for the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association. He oversees the research and development of policy, best practices, and communication strategies to assist States in managing control and regulatory systems and preventing alcohol-related harm. For 30 years, he has addressed alcohol-related issues at local, State, and national levels. He has also authored several articles and presented at numerous national and State conferences on a variety of alcohol-related issues. Brian Shanahan Brian Shanahan is a Yorktown Police Detective and School Resource Officer. Mark Shurtleff Attorney General Mark Shurtleff’s B.S. is from Brigham Young University and his law degree from the University of Utah College of Law. He has worked as a Judge Advocate General (military attorney), and he worked in private practice in Utah and California. Previously, he was a Salt Lake County Commissioner where he managed a $100 million budget.
