Ken Winters<br />
Ken Winters, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota, Director of the<br />
Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research, and a Senior Scientist with the Treatment Research Institute.<br />
His primary research interests are the assessment and treatment of addictions, including adolescent drug abuse<br />
and problem gambling. He is on the editorial boards of two peer-review journals and is the recipient of numerous<br />
research grants from NIH and various foundations.<br />
Mary Beth Wolfe<br />
Mary Beth Wolfe has been an educator, a counselor, and a coordinator of alcohol-focused programs for 30<br />
years. She coordinates trainings, conducts presentations, provides educational materials and technical assistance<br />
on alcohol-related issues to communities, organizations, and professionals nationwide. She is a<br />
coordinator, grants manager, and technical advisor for State and nationally funded grant projects. She created<br />
and coordinates a statewide Law <strong>Enforcement</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Team, which presents multiple courses on enforcement<br />
tactics dealing with alcohol-related violations and the law.<br />
Mark Wolfson<br />
Dr. Mark Wolfson is Professor in the Department of Social Sciences and Health Policy at Wake Forest University<br />
School of Medicine. His research centers on two areas: one is on the effects of policies and programs addressing<br />
tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drug use by youth and young adults; and the other involves the interaction of<br />
nonprofit and government organizations in shaping public policy on alcohol, tobacco, and drug use. He is the<br />
Principal Investigator of several studies funded by NIH and NHTSA.<br />
Sally Zellers<br />
Sally Zellers is the Director of the Safe Streets Coalition. She has led the coalition since its inception in 1995.<br />
Ms. Zellers has a diverse background that includes being a Licensed Practical Nurse, working for a local school<br />
district, and volunteering as a neighborhood and community mobilizer. She is a trainer for the Crime Free Multi-<br />
Housing Program. Ms. Zellers also serves as a national trainer for CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of<br />
America).<br />
