Shavonna Cole<br />
Shavonna Cole, Founder and CEO of Nurture Over Nature, NFP, has dedicated more than a decade of her life to<br />
mentoring teens. She has worked with thousands of teens across the Chicagoland area. Ms Cole also works in<br />
Chicago, Illinois, as a Prevention Specialist and Mentor Coordinator, where she uses positive youth development<br />
to help prevent teens against drug use and abuse. She is also a contributing writer/advice columnist for www.<br />
inspiredgirlsonline.com and www.goddessgirlmag.com.<br />
Aidil Collins<br />
Aidil Ortiz Collins, Program Director of The Answer at Youth Empowered Solutions, holds a Public Relations<br />
degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She is currently working on her master’s in counseling.<br />
For 6.5 years, she has worked with youth on impacting adolescent health policies. With her youth team, she also<br />
trains youth and adults throughout North Carolina to work on preventing underage drinking. The Answer is the<br />
preventing underage drinking program at YES!<br />
Sherry Cook<br />
Sherry Cook is an Assistant Administrator for Support Services for Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. She<br />
previously worked with Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) in various executive management capacities.<br />
While at DPS, Ms. Cook worked as a Crime Analyst for the Texas Rangers Division for 9 years. She has bachelor<br />
and master’s degrees in information technology. She is a TCLEOSE Certified Peace Officer, Certified Public<br />
Manager, and a member of various professional and civic organizations.<br />
Kenneth Cox<br />
Kenneth Cox is a 29 year veteran of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and holds a Masters Degree in Criminal<br />
Justice from the University of Central Florida. He graduated from the FBI National Academy #228, as well as<br />
the Southern Police Institute’s Command Officers Development Course #8. Chief Deputy Kenneth Cox presently<br />
commands the Operational Services Bureau. This bureau includes the Uniform Patrol Division, Criminal<br />
Investigations Division, Special Operations Division, Media Relations Section and the Metropolitan Bureau of<br />
Investigations. Chief Deputy Cox has experience in deployment of the incident command system, managing<br />
numerous active high risk incidents. Chief Deputy Cox holds extensive professional and community affiliations<br />
and is an active member of numerous committees and associations<br />
Amalia Cuervo<br />
Amalia Cuervo, U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, serves as a Grant Program<br />
Manager for two higher education initiatives: the Models on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention and<br />
the Grants to Reduce High-Risk <strong>Drinking</strong> and Violence on College Campuses. Previously, she was a Program<br />
Manager at the U. S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. She was<br />
also a fellow at Johns Hopkins in organization and community systems.<br />
