<strong>and</strong> theoretical perspectives in sociology applied<br />

to a specific topic, theme or set <strong>of</strong> topics. Concepts<br />

covered include: culture, socialization,<br />

deviance, social structure, social stratification<br />

<strong>and</strong> inequality (inc. class, race <strong>and</strong> gender), <strong>and</strong><br />

social institutions. This course is a prerequisite<br />

to all upper-level sociology courses. (U)(3). Fall<br />
