3.6. Performance analysis of monitoring tools (Step 6)
The following steps need to be taken in this phase of the design procedure (see Figure
14):
3.6.1. Click on the command button, “Select a process point”, and select a process
point from the adjacent drop-down list (note that the process point selected in this
step must be identical to the process point selected in Step 4).
3.6.2. Click on the command button, “Select a critical process variable”, and select a
critical process variable (or select all) from the adjacent drop-down list (see
Figure 14). Follow steps 3.6.2.1-3.6.2.2:
3.6.2.1. Tick on the performance criteria of the monitoring tools that you want to list (see
Figure 14)
3.6.2.2. Click on the command button, “List the monitoring tools” (see Figure 14). This
command will generate a table containing the monitored variable, monitoring
techniques, monitoring tools and corresponding specifications. The user can
modify this table according to his/her needs.
